John and Becky went to Black Butte Ranch June 22.  While bringing things in to the house, John fell from the top of a steep staircase, and sustained a severe head injury.  He is in an induced coma at St. Charles hospital in Bend. He had surgery to remove large blood clot and a hand sized portion of his skull to reduce pressure.  The  trauma team says they will know more in 72 hours which is when the swelling in the brain should go down enough so that they can assess brain function.  It was not a stroke but blunt force trauma in several areas.  He squeezed JohnJr’s finger which is hopeful.  It will be weeks of care at this time.
Becky sends her love and gratitude for all your prayers.

Becky let us know the echocardiogram said heart was good and strong. Praise God !
