John’s Story

Site created on December 3, 2022

John had a fall on the golf course at the beginning of Thanksgiving week. The fall resulted in some bleeding around the brain that caused significant headaches, nausea and he was brought to the ER on Friday after Thanksgiving. He has had 3 procedures to relieve the blood build up, including an initial craniotomy, as fluid returned after each procedure. On 12/3 he had his 3rd procedure and has no more medical intervention options available. He is in critical condition at Norton Brownsboro Hospital.

My apologies for not updating the site sooner! It has been a busy and very positive past few weeks.
John has been ‘graduated’  by all the home health team (o. t. , p. t.and nurse) . We were grateful for their help and expertise, and also enjoyed getting to know them - BUT , we are thrilled that they feel he no longer needs them . Two big breakthroughs - his closed eye situation has cleared up , so reading, t.v…… are all back on ; also,he’s now able to drive - a huge deal! Two days ago , his surgeon saw him after the c t scan on Monday- said “all looks great- you’re good to go- just no going after runaway golf carts!”
We’re elated and more than relieved!!! Truly a miraculous journey to recovery. 🙏
Your concern, help, presence and prayers will never be forgotten ❗️❤️🙏
- will post a few pictures soon :)
