John passed ,very peacefully, over to paradise with Jesus yesterday afternoon. He was listening to the nurses' narrative of the beautiful June day out his window at the hospital when he simply drew his last breath. He is no longer suffering. We all feel peace.

We were all able to see and visit John yesterday. He had special conversations with each of us and we were able to say our goodbyes. God is good to have given us that peace. 

Thank each of you for hanging in with us through this long 6 month journey. We leaned on all of you and drew strength and endurance from your prayers of encouragement and your cries of compassion to help John, and us, through the agony that is AML. Cancer is an extremely painful disease to battle. His battle was filled with grace, partly due to your steadfast strength and love. He was so humbled by your outstretched hands and hearts and we all felt the blessings of your friendship and love. Thank you!
