Happy Thanksgiving🦃

This year we are especially thankful for all our family and friends who have checked in, brought meals, helped with boys, helped with groceries, helped with gas, helped with anything and everything this year.  It's hard to believe that this all started this time last year with some low back pain that was "different" than what John had experienced before.

A visit with the oncologist yesterday was very positive.  While i might have misspoke about "clear margins", John still is cancer free.  Surgery was successful at removing all of it, but the margins were positive for spread from the bladder to the ureter.  Because of this, the doctor says he is a good candidate for immunotherapy and will do this once a month for a year.  All positive things that we are grateful and thankful for this year.

Today he had an appointment with Brain and Spine to figure out why he is still continuing to have debilitating pain and left leg weakness.  This doctor noted the times this year that john had pain, and didn't have pain, and the common denominator was steroids.  Structurally, the spine looks good.  John will take an oral steroid for 3 weeks and go for injections.  Hopefully that will take care of it, if not we will re-assess when necessary.

Take time to appreciate your family this holiday season.  Cherish all the moments, because we know just how quickly things can change.

Sending love, happiness, peace and warm holiday wishes from The Castles💞
