It’s been a minute since I updated everyone!   My apologies.  I am in Albuquerque staying with my dad as he is staying at my brother’s house while they are on vacation.   It is looking like he will be able to go back to his house very soon-perhaps within a couple of weeks!   

his speech is still slurred but he is definitely doing the work to get better.  He’s been released to drive, but I still worry.  Not because of the stroke but because he’s 82.   He does well and manages to do most everything on  his own.  Unfortunately, we had to have his little dog out down today.  He was not able to see, hear, was having anxiety attacks, and was coughing and not keeping much food down.  He was 14.5. RIP Lucas.   We can’t thank my in loves Johnny and Kathy enough for caring for him in his final days.  

My moms service will be July 6, at 11:30 am.  Queen of Heaven Cemetery off Paseo and Wyoming.  Here’s hoping we all get a much needed break soon!
