Joe’s Story

Site created on December 11, 2022

Good morning friends!

The week before Thanksgiving Joe had his 1st regular colonoscopy, and the doctor found a 5 cm tumor in his colon.  We found out the day before Thanksgiving that it is adenocarcinoma (colon cancer).  It looks like it was caught fairly early, which is very good news.  Joe will be going into surgery this Thursday, Dec. 15th at 8 am to remove a portion of his colon and some lymph nodes around it.  We appreciate the thoughts and prayers & I will keep everyone updated as he goes into surgery and comes out, along with how the recovery is going.

Good morning friends!
I hope you are all having a blessed holiday season.  This morning Joe is getting his port removed!  His oncologist felt comfortable with removing his port after seeing his scans and bloodwork, instead of Joe having to keep it in for another year.  We are heading to the surgery center at 9 am and his surgery will be around 10:30 and last about an hour.  It was great that the oncologist was able to get it in this insurance calendar year.  We appreciate the thoughts and prayers this morning.  Your prayers have moved mountains this last year, thank you!  ❤️
