Journal entry by Kim Bauer —
July 21, 2022 - 2 years, 730 days, 104 weeks, 17,520 hours, 1,051,2000 minutes - I could go on but thats how long it has been since Joes life was for ever changed. To him, the kids and I it seems like yesterday and then some days more than 10 years ago. But to see Joe get up every morning and push on you wouldn't know it! He is the true embodiment of hard work, true grit and courage!
What a 2 years it has been for Joe! So many new changes and so many discoveries of his own strength and determination! Our Superhero has not once let himself or our family down! Joe continues to push hard through physical therapy 3 times a week and speech therapy once a week (those will never change for him). He has gone back to work where those who care within his crew continued to treat him with such respect and dignity and continue to remind him that he is the owner of his business, it is truly amazing!
His friends have continued to try and find ways to get him back out on the shooting range so he can still enjoy the hobbies he loves and spend time with the ones that support him the most. This summer has been so amazing he has been out camping with our youngest daughter so many times his heart will be so full for the winter!
Our Superhero battles on! And I am positive he will for many more years!
Thank you for all your continued love and support - I'f you see this amazing man out anywhere PLEASE give him a hug and remind him how much you care and how proud we all of him!
Kim, Max, Jacob, Jaycee, Nate & Cellan
