Joel’s Story

Welcome to our CaringBridge for Joel!
We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement!

On Monday 11/13, Joel suffered cardiac arrest and a heart attack as result of a 100% blockage in his left anterior descending artery or commonly called “the widowmaker.”

Joel’s journey will be a long one. Most of all, we so appreciate your prayers. By God’s grace, he’s here with us today and we get to share these updates with you.

Thank you for visiting!

Family and friends!

As we approach Thanksgiving tomorrow, our hearts are overflowing with extra gratitude… Joel is finally home! His journey through the ICU has ended, and the warmth of home has never felt sweeter. The dogs are definitely overjoyed to have him back, and Joel, ever the trendsetter, left the hospital in the latest ‘hospital chic’ - complete with a snazzy heart monitor, on-trend hospital pants, and exclusive autographs from his medical team.

His physician, who was pivotal in his treatment and survival in those first few hours at UC West Chester, paid a special visit to see off our champion at UC Clifton. We know this road to recovery is still young, yet we’re blessed by the remarkable progress Joel’s heart has made. The beat goes on!

We’re so thankful for every prayer and kind word sent our way. May your Thanksgiving be filled with joy, blessings, and cherished moments. ENJOY EVERY MINUTE 🫶
