Jody’s Story

Site created on April 8, 2024

Welcome to Jody’s CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.
Jody’s Story:
After several weeks of nausea and vertigo this spring, Jody got an MRI and learned there were multiple masses in her brain. She went into the ER at Minneapolis Abbott Northwestern on Wednesday 4/3/24 and had a brain biopsy on Friday 4/5/24.
Today 4/9/24, we got the results of the biopsy, and it was not the news we were hoping for. The results showed the tumors are glioblastomas. We don’t yet know treatment plans or prognosis, and there isn’t much more to tell at this time.
Jody’s kids: Cassie and Shawn, and her daughter in law Heather will be sharing info as they get it here on Caring Bridge. Jody asked me to specifically let people know that this Caring Bridge site is the best way for friends and family to get info on her medical care, and leave messages that she will read as she can. She appreciates all your love, good wishes, good thoughts and prayers. She requests no advice at this time.

Thanks for loving and supporting Jody in this difficult time. ♥️

Journal entry by MARY HANSON

I got to accompany one of my most favorite people to her radiation clinic today- and as a bonus I got to eat lunch with her at one of her favorite places- Panera! Yes, you guessed correctly, it’s Jody that I lucked out to get to see today! 🥰♥️

I’m attaching her radiation schedule calendar (at Shawn & Heathers great suggestion!) so friends will know when she will not be at home- save some calls and texts I hope.

Jody is getting back to her usual strong self, and her balance, stability and endurance for walking is looking really great to me.
Thanks!
Mary
