HALLELUJAH!
I finished my chemotherapy on March 1. This week on Monday I had a PET scan, and this is no April Fool's! The results show "no evidence of metastatic disease" anywhere in my body. In other words, I AM CANCER FREE! I now go back to Dr. Kushner in Madison every 3 months for lab work and an exam.
I thank God every day for giving me the strength to fight this dreaded disease. What has helped tremendously is the army of warriors of family [especially my daughter Carrie (Rich) and son Chet (Kristi)], friends and acquaintances who have shown such kindness, generosity, thoughtfulness and caring through prayers and support these last 7 months. Words cannot express my gratefulness and love for all of you!
I continue to pray for all who are battling this disease and hope results are as good as mine. I am so lucky and truly blessed. I plan on an extreme attitude of gratitude for the rest of my life. Again, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!
Love,
JoAnne
