Joanne’s Story

Site created on November 26, 2020

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting. Mom was having issues with her cough taking her breath away. She was taken to the ER on Sunday and admitted to the hospital with COVID pneumonia. Her oxygen levels held steady, but a little low through Tuesday, but they would drop down to 70 each night. They tried to keep her on a high flow nose cannula, but she didn't tolerate it very well. She was then put on a bipap to push air into her lungs. On Wednesday, November 25, they moved mom the ICU and ended up needing to intubate her that morning. They are trying to keep her sedated and comfortable while maintaining appropriate blood pressure and heart rates. Please continue to pray for her to keep fighting and turn the corner.

* Note: Tributes go to CaringBridge and not mom and dad. Either way thank you!
