Today Joanne and Rich went to see her oncologist. They reviewed her blood work and was given the green light for round 2 of chemo. They also discussed her referral to “Dr G” (as we are calling him) who is the doctor in Toronto who can perform surgery to rid Joanne of her cancer. Her oncologist has given Dr G her name and we will wait for his call to set up an appointment. Her oncologist said  she will need to have been on chemo for 6 months (end of August) and then have 1 month off before the surgery. We are all remaining incredibly hopefully that Joanne’s body will respond well to the chemo and Dr G will select Joanne for this operation.
