It's been a couple of weeks since I have updated this site. It's been a crazy couple of weeks! The latest test show that the cancer has spread. It is in both lungs and more lymph nodes. She had her port put in last week and started a new chemo called FolFox I believe. On Tuesday she went in and met with the Dr. and then to the cancer center where they gave her some meds before hooking her up to a pump that would give her continuous chemo for 46 hours. Today she went in and had it removed. We wait 2 weeks and go back for blood tests, meet with the Dr. and then the next round of 46 hour chemo begins. Hopefully this new drug will give us the desired results. I have gotten the go ahead to do my genetic testing and I believe they are doing the same with my Mom. I haven't talked to Denise to find out if she has been approved to have it done. Next week I am having my tests done and we will see what happens next.
