Journal entry by Jo Ann Banks —
Hi All! We just got back from my 3 month follow-up at Hope4cancer in Mexico. Everything looks good! The tumors appear to be shrinking little by little and recent bloodwork from my oncologist here in Beverly Hills shows my cancer blood markers going down a bit as well. Very exciting and encouraging news!!! I continue my home treatments and have adjusted pretty well. I love how the Hope4cancer team also offers therapy sessions to work on reducing anxiety and staying positive. It's been super helpful for me.
I continue to take the Verzenio medication along with an anti-estrogen drug and a mild statin. (along with a host of important herbs and vitamins too numerous to list here!) All of these directly target cancer cells. In addition, my oncologist here in the states has some new ideas he wants to try. For those who are science minded, I have a mutated CDH1 gene that is now unable to block a bunch of tumor promoting genes so he has some ideas on how to address that involving several new herbs and a couple meds. We'll see. He's had incredible success using this strategy in other cancers. (like complete remission in terminal brain cancer) Hopefully I'll have the same results!
Either way, things are trending in the right direction and that's a huge relief!
Love to all of you and thank you for all your thoughts and prayers!
love, Jo Ann
