Johanna’s Story

Around Thanksgiving, Johanna started experiencing some upper abdominal discomfort, which eventually led to a trip to urgent care. This visit triggered a series of subsequent doctors appointments, blood work labs, scans, and eventually a biopsy.  On December 23, 2022, Johanna was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colorectal Cancer.  Johanna is facing this fight, like everything else she does, with 110% effort.  She is determined to remain positive and strong through this battle thanks to the strength and support from all of you!

The funeral will take place on Friday October 27th, 2023 at Light of Christ Lutheran Church in Delano, MN.

Family visitation will begin at 9 AM with general visitation at 10 AM.  The funeral service will begin at 11 AM with a lunch at the church to follow.

A public burial will take place on Saturday, November 4th, 2023 at 11:30 AM at the Spooner Cemetary.  A celebration of life will follow at the Round Man Brewery in Spooner, WI from 1 to 4 PM, with food provided.
