Journal entry by Liz Watts

Since arriving back home, Jim and Rhonda have been busy settling in and getting a new routine down. They found caregivers to come in the mornings and evenings to help get him ready for the day, and then ready for bed at night, which is critical for Rhonda to have that help. They've done a couple outings, including heading back to church and some doctor appointments. And then a few days ago, Jim's custom made wheelchair was delivered! Finally!!
Tomorrow he starts OT and PT.
On March 11, Jim is scheduled to have surgery on the osteophyte in his throat - that's the "shelf" I've referred to before that's making it hard for him to swallow. Right now, he's still being fed through the tube in his stomach.

Jim's benefit is fast approaching on March 7. We hope to see you all there! If you need any info, I've included a photo below, but reach iut with any questions. The committee is still accepting silent auction items, and 50/50 tickets and other awesome raffle item tickets are available now and also at the event.
