Journal entry by Dave Schuder

It’s been a while since we’ve made an entry. Jim has been attending therapy twice a week, as well as begrudgingly doing some homework assignments. I do think that he is still improving in subtle ways. Much of the therapy involves repetition and I think it’s paying off. Often when he has a thought we play 20 questions, or more accurately, 200 questions. But with the help of context, we do manage to connect more and more.  He has been very busy helping pack up the house as we are only two days away from the first day of the final move! As you can see from the second picture, he is still an excellent and organized packer. He is also seeing to details such as filling nail holes with mud.

We now have two houses officially listed for sale “coming soon“. The excitement is building to be in the new house! We are all very ready to be done with the process of moving, and looking forward to settling in to a routine with a little less activity. I don’t recommend moving to a new house in the middle of winter if you can avoid it. Removing snow is just an extra activity I could do without right now.

I have to take a moment to shout out Sue for the incredible job she has done organizing the packing with mom and dad! Her plate is more than full - trying to clean out closets, fix lunch, make sure pills are taken on time, getting the right channel on the television, picking up groceries, talking to doctors and nurses, and making sure everyone is safe. One more whole day to box things up and we are looking good around here!

If you want to check out a couple great homes for sale, you can find them easily by searching each address. 2468 Oak St., White Bear Lake, and
4885 261st St., Wyoming. Click the ones on the Coldwell Banker site.
