Update:

Trina and Meggan drove up to the cities this morning to complete the LVAD training with the nurse. Meggan learned how to do his drive line dressing changes and Trina learned how to keep her cool with the sounding alarms at home with the device. 

Jim was up cleaning his hospital room when we arrived, bored out of his mind organizing everything. He’s learning how to sit, stand, walk, andmaneuver, without using his arms due to the sternotomy. He walked up and down the stairs today with PT. 

He did have an episode yesterday and today where he lost his vision in one eye. With concern of a stroke, a CT was completed and appears normal. Doctors are contributing this to his blood pressure at this time and will continue to monitor. 

We are hopeful for discharge late this week or early next week (most likely).
