Jim’s Story

Site created on November 24, 2019

On the evening of November 23, Jim suffered a brain bleed & was taken to Mercy Hospital in Mason City, Iowa where they performed surgery to stop the bleed & relieve pressure on the brain. The Dr. & nurses are encouraged this morning as Jim is moving all of his limbs & responding to basic commands & questions .  He's breathing on his own & they plan to remove his breathing tube today.  We are asking for patience right now as these next few days in the ICU will be tiring for the family as we adjust & come to terms with the situation & focus on the next steps towards Jim's recovery as we know this will be a marathon & not a sprint.   Thank you for your prayers & concern. Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.
