Journal entry by Colleen Mihelich —
Happy Father's Day! (And surprise, I'm back!)
I hope everyone had a wonderful day celebrating their dads. Today for us was difficult, as you can imagine. thank you to everyone reached out to me to check on the kids. The four kids and I enjoyed a nice dinner together to celebrate our favorite guy.
I just wanted to take a minute, because it's been eating away at me, to acknowledge all of you -our family and friends - and to say thank you once again for the ways big and small you've shown love to our family.
I've kind of been doggy paddling staying afloat these past few months dealing with the big emotions of the little kids and the big emotions of my own and I have tried to chip away at thank yous but grief with small ones is a full time job! We miss him!
All that to say, I go back to work tomorrow so I guess I'll have 2 full time jobs now so if you don't get a thank you until next year please don't mistake it for a lack of gratitude!! I love you all more than you'll ever know!
This time of terrible sadness will always be equally remembered for the the incredible love we were shown. Thank you.
