Journal
Dear Friends and Family,
One year ago, today, Jim fell off an attic ladder and our lives were forever changed. Thank you for your love and support over these past months. Jack, Chelsea and I have felt your energy behind us and God's love around us.
Before Jim passed away on Aug. 13, 2018, I asked him to send us dimes so we would know when he was around us. Many of you who have heard about this have received dimes in all kinds of places.... the bottom of washing machines, car mats, door mats, at the bottom of soup bowls, on kitchen counters, under rugs, in corners and literally falling from thin air! Just know that if you believe you will be blessed. Jim is all around us, loving and watching over us. His Sister, Laurlie, recently sent me a poem he had written and I would like to share it with you.

We sit in odd positions now,
on the front step or
behind the screen,
rocking in the uneven shade,
watching the blades
of grass turn against
themselves,
some of them
folded tightly, creased
as if by a gardener's hand,
the others
lying flat, pressed
beneath the children's feet,
there
where a private path
leads into the womb
of the seasons,
into the trees where
the laughter is.
-Jim Langlas
God bless all of you. Please hold our family in prayer as we gather together in the upcoming days.
