Newest Update

Journal entry by Shawn Jennings

Its been a while..
This will be probably be my last update on here.

First I just want to thank everyone again for the prayers, cards, gifts and monetary donations. I'm sorry if I have not gotten around to thanking you personally. Life has been a little crazy. Please know we appreciate and love each and everyone of you.

Update on Jim!
He is doing very well. He had his follow up with the neuro surgeon last week, a day after his repeat CT scan. The scan showed all of the blood has cleared and the fracture is healed. He still has a lot of edema(swelling) on the frontal lobe of the brain, which is the area that was most injured.
Even though he hit the back of his head, his brain ricocheted and the front was damaged. This can take months to heal.

To see him and talk to him you would never know anything happened to him, which is a huge blessing. He still gets headaches and nausea, but that is improving. His stamina is slowly getting better, but he gets tired easily after a few minutes of doing a task.

Outpatient physical and speech therapy is working on all of these things 2 days a week and expects for him to have a complete recovery.

We thank God for this miracle. He would not be where he is without everyone's prayers.

Thank you so much,
We will update you next time in person when we see you out.

Blessings,
 Shawn
