April was filled with family and friend gatherings, chemo treatments and some camping. We enjoyed a week get-a-way for the eclipse, camping with friends at a deer lease in central Texas, plus a few days in Glen Rose. Our family was together to celebrate Jessica’s birthday so got to love on all the grandkids again (see pics). Jim finally felt up to joining our sons for a round of golf for the first time in 3 years. He had two more treatments this month, plus we made a second trip to MD Anderson in March. CT scan showed that his stomach tumors are shrinking, yay! The oncologist there was a little surprised, but we will take any progress and are so thankful! His next scan will be mid-June. This week we’re joining many RV friends at the Texas Alliance Rally in Mineola, TX (we missed last year’s rally when Jim was in the hospital). Jim has good days and bad, but continues to amaze his doctors (and all of us) with his journey to beat Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer. Thanks again for the many prayers, texts, cards, books and emails of encouragement! God continues to provide in so many ways.
