The ventricular drain was removed from Jim's brain and he remained stable for the day. He is still not eating enough so his feeding tube remains in place. He is also very weak and can stand only for a few minutes to get from the bed to his chair. PT and OT come in each day for a little while and today Jim spent a couple of hours in his chair. He is getting excellent nursing care at Lutheran.
