Sign In to Show Your SupportMy friend, Pedro, won first place in the 5k on Sunday at the Visalia Triathlon. I walked the 5k after I guarded the swim portion in the El Diamante High School pool. Monday I served at the Avenue of Flags at the Visalia Cemetery. It was inspiring!
I'm continuing to improve each week. Last week, I substituted for two days in second grade, biked and walked almost daily, worked on my orange trees, and put together a new carport structure for our RV trailer. I'm also adding more weight, more time, and more speed during my Cardio Rehab.
It's been 10 weeks since my heart attack, 9 weeks since my surgery, and 4 weeks since I've started cardio rehab. Time seems to go slow and fast. I'm a walking answer to prayer.
Again, "I will not die but live, and will proclaim what the Lord has done." Ps. 118:17
Please pray for next week. I'll be at a father/child camping trip at Hume Lake this weekend. Then I'll be at Sequoia Lake with 60 kids at our annual PAL (Police Activities League) HONOR CAMP. Then I head to Oregon for my grandson's high school graduation. It will be a full week!

Note from Heidi:
Tonight we had our family meeting at Grace Bible Church in Bend. It was a joy to share about how God answered prayers with our members. Last time we met, I had asked for prayer the night before Dad's angiogram. Since then, I have felt immensely cared for as so many have continued to ask and pray over Dad's surgery and recovery progress. What a blessing it is to live in community! If you have not experienced this, I encourage you to seek out a Bible teaching church where community is lived out in this way. Life is difficult and we are not meant to walk it alone. If you have any questions or need help to find this where you live, please ask my parents or myself. We would be happy to assist you!
