Journal entry by Jill Stevens —
Here’s the latest… Continued wound care, dressing change twice a day. According to them it looks good for this type of disease. Calciphylaxis ain’t no joke. I’ve never experienced so much pain in my entire life. The nurses here are wonderful, the doctors are incredible, PT and OT are fabulous. I am in very good hands. My mental state is not the greatest, though. I’m starting to feel sad, I guess that’s normal for the sort thing. It’s almost the beginning of the school year and I have nothing to look forward to, I don’t have a class and I’m sad that I won’t be going back to school in the fall. Oh well, I will get through this I’ve gotten through everything else in the past. Thank you for all your well wishes they mean the world I can’t begin to tell you how important it is to my mental state hearing from everyone. That’s the latest and greatest from Philadelphia. Shallow to my friend Adam commands key who did receive his kidney and pancreas transplant I’m so excited for him!
