Newest Update

Journal entry by Jillian O'Connell —

Hey everyone!!! I hopped on here to give a quick update and thank everyone for all your love, prayers,  and support!! I feel so incredibly loved it's overwhelming at times and humbling. I know I would do the same for all of you, but being on the receiving end is very emotional. I love you all so much and you are all so very special to me. thank you thank you thank you for taking care of me and my family!!!

SO for the update, I just wanted to share how well I've ben doing. As each day passes, I get stronger and stronger. Not to brag, but I can load and unload the dishwasher again! 🤣 When I first came home I was so weak and fatigued it was scary for me. I've never felt that way before and I have 3 young boys, so you know I know what the definition of tired is. But I feel like I've turned a corner, and I'm happy to be getting more energy back and feeling more like myself lately.  This morning was a double success for me, I hopped on my peloton for a bit for the first time since I returned home, I didn't follow the cues the coach was shouting out,  I just followed my heart. ❤️ (no Joke, I  literally followed my heart, I have to keep track of my heart rate per Drs order). It was so nice to high-five my besties and see my name on the leader board again, in 2000th place! haha. The second huge moment in my morning... walking my Jake to the bus stop. I've watched my husband and mother walk him down from my porch steps since I got home, and today I was ready to get back to it! I'm beyond happy to do little things like this again. I always enjoyed the little things in life, but now I'm hyper-aware of how much joy they bring me. Ya gotta keeping moving forward no matter what.

XOXO - Jill
