Journal entry by Jennifer Dehan

Successful third surgery behind her, Jill has been released to go home from KU to rest and continue the healing process.  She is excited to get a good night's sleep in her OWN bed and be near Brian, Evan, Avery and Super Duper Cooper as she continues to put this all in the rear view mirror.

For this third surgery, her wound was closed with staples instead of stitches.  The staples are causing some painful pinching and pulling, but it adds a new flair to her artistic hair stylings!  As many of you know, she has been managing her healing scar and new hair growth through creative teasing, hairspray and a new opposite hair part.  She was able to generate quite a bit of hair growth in the surgical site after surgery one and two.  A third surgery along the same scar line creates more challenges for re-growth, but I have no doubt between her fabulous hair dresser and Jill's creativity, she'll be sporting that enviable blonde bombshell hair again asap!

Once again, the kindness, love, support, understanding, prayers and laughter have all combined together to make this whole process more bearable and manageable.  A million thank you's to each of you and please keep it all coming!
