Journal entry by Stevi Jones

Good evening, all.
I visited yesterday and her NG tube was out and she is off morphine drip.  She is more 'with-it'  which is good but also hard.  She got a semi shower and was up and got new sheets and we all know that feel lovely.  Not as lovely as being at home, but it will do. She should be starting on liquids and then moving up to solid food. She will remain with a TPN (nutrition iv) while she starts to eat and drink her calories.

I was unable to get by today, but did speak with her on the phone.  One concern she had after having more items removed from her (drainage tubes from surgery) was she was running a low grade fever.  She is nervous and fighting fear.  Will you pray for her?  If you don't know what to ask then ask the Holy Spirit to intercede as He knows the will of the Father.

The Cavanaghs are no strangers to suffering, but this is a bit different.  Pray for Jill to experience God's perfection in her weakness.  To hear and experience him even while she and her family are suffering through this.  thank you for you love and care and checking in on her.

Warmly,
Stevi
