Jewell’s Story

Site created on September 17, 2019

Almost two weeks after surgery we got the pathology report and it wasn't good news.  Jewell has Stage 3C1 carcinoma.  It had metastasized into the regional lymph nodes and followup chemotherapy will start October 3rd.  Every 3 weeks for 6 treatments we will be spending 5 hours infusing oncologic drugs to hopefully eradicate any remaining microscopic cancer cells that may have been left behind.  This series will continue till mid-January.  In the meantime, we are leaning on the Lord for courage, bravery, endurance, and optimism, being carried on the wings of prayer.  We invite you to follow our story.

Journal entry by Daniel Faust

I come bearing good news. Jewell Faust’s ct-scan was CLEAR!!!!!

Not out of the woods yet, though. Still struggling mightily with all the aftermath of surgery, chemo, radiation, and emotional stress/depression over the last 7 months. Please pray 1) gratitude to God for this wonderful news and 2) for rapid recovery to some semblance of normal again soon.

Thank you ALL for your empathetic concern, uplifting encouragements, and especially your diligence in praying!  Jesus be praised and the Father be glorified. Amen.
