https://gofund.me/bed647c7Despite Jessica's incredibly healthy lifestyle, physical abilities as a trainer, being an advocate for self-care and an inspiration to all around her -they found a tumor on her adrenal gland in 2014. The tumor was diagnosed as a pheochromocytoma-extremely rare - and it was removed. The chance of reoccurrence was extremely low. Last July, after a lot of hip pain - Jessica went back to the doctor to learn that she had another tumor. This type of tumor is so rare 1 in 5 million type of cancer and even more rare to reoccur. She had surgery to remove the second tumor in her hip last summer and has been doing well until a couple of months ago. She had pain return in her hip and had to once again use crutches to walk. They ran additional scans and have now determined that the cancer has metastasized. The cancer has progressed to multiple places in the bone across her body, including the base of her skull, spine, ribs, and pelvis.
Jess has researched many of the top cancer treatment centers, which are mostly outside of the United States. She found the best care for her diagnosis at this time at "Hope 4 Cancer". With the help of many generous family and friends and tons of prayers, she is traveling this week to begin treatment. Being as passionate about health and fitness as she is, Jess wants to be treated, but also deeply desires to limit additional negative impacts to her overall health as well as figure out the root cause and hopefully prevent additional tumors.
