Jessica’s Story

Site created on February 23, 2020

My name is Mercy. This site was created for my sister Jessica who has recently been diagnosed with Breast Cancer.  She is 27 years old with 2 beautiful kids. This diagnoses has caught everyone off guard including Doctors who can't seem to understand why an other wise perfectly healthy 27 year old with very little cancer history in her blood could possibly have this diagnosis. As of right now she has gotten an ultrasound that shows promising images of clear lymph nodes, in other words they don't believe that the cancer has spread. We are waiting on more tests results to know what her next step is.

Newest Update

Journal entry by JESSICA SANDERS

Heyyyy!

It's been a few months but life was happening and I didn't want to pause it. So here is a two month update..

I finished round 3 and 4 of chemo a month ago...I did great! I had some exhaustion and slept a lot but made it through. The kiddos started school the second week of August and we are so excited for routine.

I finally met with the radiation oncologist and we've concluded ill have 18 radiation treatment days. This is a lower amount according to the doc. Which is great! Im glad I don't have to do a long haul of radiation.

Today, I'm doing great. My friends have been an excellent source of positivity as well as family. Thank you to all who keep posted or message on my co diction. The love is there and that's what I'm needing.

I've started my daily hormone therapy pills..no major side effects as of week two. Stay posted ❤
