Jerry’s Story

Site created on May 31, 2020

EARLY 2017:  As most of you know, Jerry was diagnosed with a rare, degenerative, neuromuscular disease back in 2017.  We took many trips to Mayo Clinic, under the care of wonderfully, diligent doctors who helped him through various treatments, everything from IVIG treatments to a full, stem-cell transplant.  Complications popped-up throughout that entire process.  We dealt with each one as they came along, but not without additional obstacles.

JUNE 2020:  That brings us to where we are today:  in the last 6 months, the trend of Jerry’s health has moved steadily downward.  He has lost just about all of his strength and muscle mass, and has limited mobility.  After a brief time with Home Health Care, it was determined that Hospice would best be able to meet his needs.  As always, our faith in the Lord is what is guiding us through this time.  Please know that your continued prayers will also accompany us on this journey.
