Jerry’s Story

Site created on April 18, 2023

On 3/20 my dad went into the ER with chest pain, weakness and recently had been coughing up blood. The day prior we had celebrated Graysons birthday and after 2 weeks of experiencing these symptoms, I told my dad it was time to be seen. The ER doctor told my dad it looked as though there was some spots of concern on his left lung, spine and lymph nodes. On 3/22 it was confirmed that my dad has stage 4  non small cell lung cancer that had spread to his a majority of his bones, lymph nodes, the fluid around his left lung and now most recently, his liver.

I wanted to create this site because my dad is surrounded with the most caring a positive people that want updates and unfortunately I’m terrible with keeping everyone updated so felt this might be the best way! Read my most recent post to see exactly where we are in the process

Journal entry by Kristi Adams

I’m writing this with such a heavy heart. My dad was called home around 2am. We waited up to tell him happy birthday and as soon as we all fell asleep, my dad took his last breaths.

Two years ago a doctor told my dad “If you keep smoking you won’t make it to your 60th birthday”.. well my dad clearly needed to prove that doctor wrong.

We can’t even begin to imagine what life will look like without our dad. But we know he’s at peace and no longer suffering.

Thanks for all the continued support and prayers. Funeral arrangements to come..
