Greetings, all!

"Game Day", chemo, was rescheduled from today to Wednesday, 4/21. Wednesday, 4/21, is also the deadline to pre-order your BBQ for my BBQ Fundraiser for Booper's Boobies. All funds will go to pay my medical bills in association with my diagnosis and treatment.  Your support is GREATLY appreciated!!! Also, I am SURE you will be OVERJOYED at the DELICIOUS BBQ and fixin's Chef Beth Thompson-Peace will be preparing for you!!!

PLEASE PREORDER... To preorder, please click this link and fill out the online form. Then you'll be directed to a Paypal link to pay Chef Beth for your order.

Today I am going around my neighborhood to put out fliers for the BBQ Fundraiser.  I've shared before how much moving and this house have been such a TREMENDOUS stress relief and how great this property management company is to work with. This house has been such a blessing to me and my family!  I want to take a minute and talk about how AMAZINGLY friendly this neighborhood is. Seriously, y'all. When my sister, Serah, and I have gone on walks together, she and I both comment over and over about how friendly everyone is. And there are a WHOLE BUNCH of kids in this neighborhood... always playing outside. The kids are AWESOME, too! When driving down the road, I'll wave or say hi while driving slowly by and NO MATTER THE AGE, they smile and wave back. If I'm walking and have polite conversation as I walk by, they (ALL PEOPLE) reply with a smile and simple chat. Several times I've had the good fortune of having a neighbor stop to chat while we're out front doing yard work or something. They've ALL been so amazing!!! SO AMAZING!!! And it's very diverse... diversity means the WORLD to me. When I tell you these people have been so VERY friendly, I CANNOT possibly overstate that! It's like some movie or something. Providence Manor, in Harrisburg, is a snapshot of how community should be... how it could be. Well, that's been my experience at least. If you're a neighbor and you're reading this, I can't appreciate you enough. I am exceptionally grateful to you for making choices to create such a welcoming place to call home. And you all have some great kids!

Okay, update on all things cancer. As I indicated above, chemo has been rescheduled to Wednesday, 4/21, this week. It's my second to last chemo treatment. Monday, 5/10 (the day after my 48th bday), will be my last chemo treatment and will wrap up 6 months of chemo. We're almost there, y'all!!! Can you believe it?!?!? Genuinely, though I see the light at the end of the tunnel, it still seems so VERY VERY far away. THIS TOO SHALL PASS, right? Indeed, it shall.

As for what's next, as I've shared before, we'll repeat scans in the end of May. My triple lumpectomy was rescheduled from 6/14 to 6/10, so surgery will be a few days sooner. Then I'll have my medical breast reduction sometime the end of June, that's not scheduled yet. And I'll start radiation sometime around the 3rd week of July. Still looking like I'll be having 6 weeks of radiation (every weekday). That plan will be established and set in stone once the pathology from the triple lumpectomy comes back. I'll keep receiving infusions in association with the clinical trial through Thanksgiving, as I understand it at this point. Only other thing on the radar at this point is a "touch up" surgery once I heal from radiation... if things are lopsided and need "leveling out". Ha! Yes, I think it's funny.

As far as assistance needed, it'd be super helpful to have you share the BBQ Fundraiser with people... text or email or share on your social medias, please. You may share our webpage www.boopersboobies.com and all the info and directions are on there, or you may share and invite people through the facebook event through this link.

Also, please keep my friends (and their families) fighting cancer in your thoughts, well-wishes, prayers, and more: Becky Isenhour, Amy Green, Tom Pierce (Amy Holthouser's husband), and so many more.
