I’m so sorry I haven’t posted in so long. Most of my updates are on my Facebook page.
I completed my radiation on 12/14/23 and my 1st round of chemo. Andrew came home that weekend & we all went to the Packer game. They didn’t win but we had a great time. I will say the steps were a lot for me just completing treatment but my kids were patient with me. Since then I’ve had what I call a decline but it really comes down to them trying to get me off these steroids and I was on a decrease schedule. It’s definitely a love- hate with steroids! My weakness got so bad I can hardly use my left hand now and earlier this week I feel and hit my hesd getting out of bed and was directed to get checked out in the ER. No fracture or bleeds so that’s good since I’m on a blood thinner, they did find out I have a UTI- not surprised since I’m having incontience issues.. Never thought at 47 I would be wearing depends! I also have a nasty cough but no worries all the test have been done and it’s just a virus.
What’s next? In the ER they upped my steroid and gave me IV antibiotics so Thursday I have a follow up with my radiologist to see what she thinks. Friday I start out patient therapy to help me get back to doing the “simple” things in life like putting my hair in a ponytail or pulling my pants up. It’s been a struggle!
Tomorrow’s two weeks to my MRI and my follow up with my neuro oncologist at froedert. I’ll update after that appointment
We also had a fantastic family session for pictures, now my family will always have me in photos. Emily, my friend Hannas cousin and did this as a donation and I’m very thankful for her!! she did great!!!
Thanks for all the love and continued support. This is the hardest thing I’ve been through
