Jenny’s Story

Site created on May 6, 2018

For those of you who have not heard, Jenny was diagnosed this past winter with breast cancer (BC).  In the last two weeks, Jenny, Joe, and Ariel have been battling to overcome hurdles. Jenny never wanted to use the conventional treatments as an option and has gone on the path of natural medicine as much as possible for the treatment of the BC.  She is willing to have surgery just not conventional chemo and radiation. Never ones to give up, they did extensive research and found an alternative cancer treatment center in Mexico that has had amazing results with others battling this awful disease (CMNACT.com).

At the beginning of May, Jenny and Joe left for CMN Hospital to start an enormous and amazing array of holistic therapies and treatments to help Jenny fight this dreadful disease.  Joe and Jenny will keep us updated on her progress in Mexico - please leave messages of encouragement and love for both of them !

Journal entry by kathy gillespie

For those of you who have not heard, Jenny passed away on Tuesday evening, May 15th.  The doctors in the ICU were able to control Jenny's pain and she passed peacefully with Joe by her side holding her hand.  Joe made sure that Jenny passed knowing how many people loved her and were supporting her here at home.

Joe is in the process of bringing Jenny home and once he is home with his family, they will tell Ariel what has happened.  Joe will update with any plans for a memorial service once he is home and has had time to process the last few weeks.

Thank you to everyone who has offered prayers, love, light and strength to Joe, Jenny and Ariel over the last few months. For those who donated to Jenny's medical fund, your generosity will help Joe ensure that Ariel has what she needs as she copes with the loss of her beautiful mom.  Callie, Tracy and the rest of the staff at Acadia and RMSAAM will make sure that Jenny's legacies continue for years to come.
