As most of you are aware, our sister passed away this past Sunday. She was only 43. 

Her illness was so aggressive and took her so fast (11 weeks ago she was diagnosed) that we were never able to have any sort of benefit for her. 

One thing we found out recently was that she did not have a life insurance policy in effect because of a recent job change. (Very unfortunate timing) Her health insurance had just kicked in literally “days” before her diagnosis thank goodness, but her life insurance policy was not yet effective. 

Besides the mound of medical bills that will be still coming in (even after insurance), there is also the cost of her funeral, maintaining the family home and caring for her husband’s and children’s future. All of which a life insurance policy is usually in place to take care of. 

We did recently create a Go Fund Me page for her. (Jennifer’s journey with melanoma. You can find it by clicking on ‘“Ways to Give”.) I know many of you have already donated and we are SO thankful for that, especially now that we know this information. It means more than anything right now. 

We are asking for help. Jennifer touched so many lives throughout her time here on earth, but now that she is gone and the family is in this unfortunate state, we just want to help ease their burden. 

I know you’re also probably curious about the funeral as well. We are still working out final details. Because jennifer had two loving families, her Texas family and her Wisconsin family, there will be services in both places. 

We will post final details once we get them but at this point we do know that there will be a service in Dallas this Friday at Noon. (Viewing from 11am to Noon) at St. Luke’s Missionary Baptist Church with a repast (reception) following.
