Journal

I was reminded by a friend last night that I hadn’t posted anything in a while.  I’m not out partying every night, as a matter of fact I am hardly awake past 9:30!
I don’t think I went to bed that early, ever!
I had a few days of having shortness of breath. Got to get out of the house for an X-ray and blood draws. Thankfully nothing major, just working on deep breathing and coughing. As anyone that has ever had asthma knows, not being able to breathe normally sucks so much. That was what truly convinced me to have this surgery and now it’s still nagging me in the recovery! My deepest fear is not breathing, the challenge of keeping the anxiety over it down is real.

One thing that has been super wonderful in the last few weeks is that people have brought meals to us. It has been so helpful to not have to worry about what to eat or cook.  Such a lifesaver!
Elinor has been the other lifesaver! I’ve been so glad to have her at home. She has been such a great caregiver, still won’t let me win at “spot it!” But then why would she?!
Larry has been good too. He gets to chauffeur me everywhere. It’s so weird to ride in the back. I feel a little VIP and make sure I have my largest sunglasses on.
Bea is coming tomorrow for a day, she should be back by next week as school is almost finished. It should be fun to have both girls here!!
