Our sweet Jenna passed into the arms of Jesus at 6:15 pm yesterday evening. I had asked Jenna on Sunday when we were still at the house if it would be ok for people to gather to pray for her on Wednesday evening from 6-7... and the Lord sure did ordain that time to be when she'd meet Him in Heaven, being lifted up at exactly that time by all the saints on Earth who have carried her through this journey. And then, right after that, tears flowed onto us from Heaven as the rain poured down. I felt the Lord's embrace as I watched that rain fall. The Hendrick hospice team was incredible, they kept her comfortable the whole time she was there. We are so thankful for them. She had so many visitors, gosh that girl is so loved by all of you. We had a time of worship as Kara sang sweetly in her ear, just like an angel, and then she passed about an hour and a half later with me, my mom, my dad and Jaye lying on her chest and weeping at her sides. She went knowing how deeply loved and cherished she was, as she gave up her broken body for her Heavenly figure by our gracious Father. That vibrant Spirit will live on in us all forever. Jenna touched so many lives... that girl never met a stranger. We would love for all of you to gather with us to celebrate her life. We will have a visitation (aka a Jenna party) at 1058 CR 257 in Abilene, TX on Sunday evening from 4 to 7 pm. Wear your brightest colors and some sequins. The funeral will be on Monday afternoon at 1 pm at Beltway North in Abilene. There will be a family burial following the service, where Jenna will be laid to rest out at the family ranch. We are planning to have a celebration of life for her on Easter Sunday, which is also her 39th birthday, on the afternoon of March 31st.
