Last week, Jenna had her mid-year check up at Children's Mercy. She is now seeing Dr. Schwend (her previous Dr/surgeon has moved). It was good to get Dr. Schwend's perspective on Jenna's scoliosis and spinal fusion surgery recovery. She still has some numbness across her back around the incision and some manageable pain as her body adjusts, which was to be expected. Overall, everything continues to look great! It is amazing to reflect on how far Jenna has come in the past 8 months. She is back to being able to throw feed bags and lift buckets in the barn, she'll show her 4-H pigs next weekend at state fair, and tonight she will kick-off her Senior season as WHS Football Cheer Captain. Thank you, Lord for Jenna's continued healing and recovery! We trust in You!
