Yesterday was all about Jenna. I received so many phone calls, text messages, and emails from friends and family letting me know that Jenna is remembered.  She had many visitors at her grave including my stepdad, my sister, my brother and some of his children. When my brother was there he called me so I could talk to her and I cried a lot. I told her that I miss her…everything about her, I asked her to visit sometime, and told her that I loved her.

Today, I start a new beginning…not forgetting my daughter, but celebrating her and what she brought to all of our lives.   I recently re-landscaped my garden, and I had to remove all of the stones from her service and celebration that people had written on. I reread every single one, and they gave me joy and they made me remember how much Jenna had done with her life . I counted over 200 stones and very few I had the same message, which made her very special to everyone she came in contact with.

One of the text messages I received was from a young man who Jenna knew in school. He reached out to remind me of the words from Jenna‘s service which meant so much to him, and they give me some form of peace. Pastor Jeff said that if God came to me and said I’m going to give you a daughter and you will love her, and she will be beautiful, and wonderful, and all of the things.  But, she will have to come home to me in 25 years.  I would all take that deal in a heartbeat! he is right, I would take that deal in a heartbeat. I had the honor of loving such an amazing daughter!

I am going to honor her by living my best life!
