Journal entry by Kristen Soukup —
I had my appointment today in a Houston. They are pretty sure that node in my chest is melanoma even though path didn't confirm it after my biopsy in Sioux Falls. There are two more spots on the other side of my chest that are much smaller, but suspicious. They are going to schedule me for a surgery to either remove the bigger node or just core biopsy it if they can't take it out. If biopsy confirms that it is melanoma they will start the "big gun" immunotherapy. I will be seeing a thoracic surgeon here and having surgery done here at some point in near future. So news, not great, but nothing really surprising. The liver looks good and the doctor said he hasn't really seen melanoma act this way so per usual, I am an interesting case.
