Please see the journal for updates!! I'm still working on getting familiar with the site so I hope it all makes sense.

I just realized now since this has been going on for a while that it would take a long time for someone to scroll down to the first Journal entries. I apologize. I think most of you know what happened with Jeffrey but I'm going to put a little summary right here so that if anyone new reads the site they can understand.

Our family had planned to make a quick trip to Minnesota to work on a building we have in carlos. Later on the day after we arrived Jeffrey had a fall somewhere in the building. It looked like it may be a concussion so I put him into bed to rest. He was not impressed with this but he had a bump on his forehead so I held just him on my lap to cuddle and comfort him. The following day he spent a lot of time sleeping. Late on Wednesday things did not seem to be getting any better so on Thursday morning we brought him to the ER in Alexandria. He was pretty well immediately prepared to be sent to the Children's Hospital in Minneapolis. They suspected bacterial meningitis. An MRI confirmed this so he was immediately scheduled for surgery.  The following day he had surgery to his brain to remove the pus that they found. That is a very short summary but will at least make it clear what happened and what started this journey.

If you are wanting to help in a financial way we have the following GoFundMe account set up:

We especially covet your prayers any time Jeffrey comes to your mind ❤️

Newest Update

Journal entry by Daniel and Sifra Nokovich

I can't believe it's already the 24th! This last week has flown by! And next week we're looking forward to Daniel's birthday so I picked up the last ingredients for his black forest cake so I can have that all prepared beforehand! And the day after his birthday will be our 11th wedding anniversary which is downright crazy! I feel like I've known him all my life and yet these years have flown by!

I wish I could say that Jeffrey is crawling this week but he's not that far yet. But he has been rolling a lot, enough to wear himself out pretty good and have a good nap over the lunch hour. Anastasia often will sit with him and hold him up so that he has to practice holding his head up. He is pretty much his former self when it comes to warding off attention he's not interested in. He pulls her hair or beats at her with his hand, something he used to do all the time. But he also laughs when he is tickled. He doesn't laugh quite the same as he used to but that's coming. And His Marvelous grin is ever-present every day!

It was such a beautiful sunny warm day today that I took them all to the park. That's what I love about the north. Each day can be different. One chilly day and then one warm day! Down in Florida it reaches a point where pretty much every day is exactly the same lol.

I'm sitting here with Jeffrey right now as he is getting his supper feed. I've been adding the spinach and green bean juice that I make. It's usually an addition I add to Daniel's juice that I make but I've been putting it in Jeffrey's food. However, some of the pieces of spinach are getting stuck in the tube so the machine is screaming at me.

There was an intermission there that you wouldn't notice haha. I am back after admitting defeat. Thankfully most of his feed was done but there was a chunk of spinach that didn't make it through and held up the rest so I will just give that to him tomorrow, minus the leaves of spinach that I didn't notice. He's grinning at me so I don't think he noticed the missing portion. Anyways, before I start to chatter without purpose, I will see which pictures I can add. I made a nice one today for Daniel's aunt's and I think I'll add it as well as a couple others. Love you all!
