Jeff’s Story

Site created on August 14, 2021

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.
This story all began on July 31 / August 1 when both Jeff and his son, Ethan, were diagnosed with COVID.   At first, they both were at home and were managing their symptoms, with medications prescribed by the urgent care clinic where they were diagnosed.   Both of them had congestion, fever, cough, and stomach issues (vomiting and diarrhea).   Celeste was not feeling great, but was not as sick as Jeff and Ethan.   Emma was feeling ok, and was moved to the guest house as a precaution.   As the week progressed, Ethan was improving slightly, but Jeff continually felt worse.   We will begin adding daily updates below.  PLEASE PRAY FOR HEALING FOR THIS FAMILY!!!

Journal entry by Cindy Watson

We are all so happy and so thankful! A message from our daughter, Celeste Parrish:

After 34 days in the hospital and 13 days in inpatient rehab, Jeff got to come home last Wednesday! He will continue his recovery with outpatient rehab. We are so thankful for every miracle God orchestrated along this journey. His work was apparent from the beginning through the nurses and doctors that helped Jeff, friends and family that loved us well, and of course the miraculous healing.

This I declare about the Lord: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; He is my God, and I trust Him. For He will rescue you from every trap and protect you from deadly disease. He will cover you with His feathers. He will shelter you with His wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection. Psalm 91
