Journal entry by Linda Matyas

Jeff is HOME.  In the words of my dad's Aunt Marge, thanks be to God!!  Jeff left the hospital on Friday for rehab.  It became clear to us that he did not need skilled nursing care. What he needed was the PT and OT and he can receive that at home.  The kids went and purchased all the items necessary for Jeff to be safe while navigating throughout the house.  I set up our "pharmaceutical station" and got a few of his favorite snacks, haha.  He continues to get stronger and more independent, and he likes these accommodations much better. With the terrible weather we are supposed to get tomorrow and Thursday, we are both happy I will not be making the hospital/rehab drive every day.

As I said before and now Jeff says it as well, thank you all from the bottom of our hearts.  We so appreciate all the love showered upon us during this ordeal.  I have my Christmas miracle!

Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah and Happy New Year

Love,

Linda and Jeff
