Newest Update

Journal entry by Dana Lupton

Jeff was determined to support Chris McCord, founder of Men in Motion, at his annual Moving in the Spirit's Founding Fathers Breakfast yesterday. Jeff got to see Colie, one of his favorite middle school friends, who stayed with him after surgery while I went home to rest and shower. She has been wearing a peace sign necklace that Jeff had given her in high-school since she heard his life was hanging in the balance.  Colie said to me, I am not going to take it off until he is completely better!! What a beautiful friendship!!!  Big news, Jeffs dear friend Carlos, surprised him by completing all the drywall that he and John Richardson had worked on during the week AND professionally finishing it AND painting his studio!!!!

Tiffany Friesen, mealtrain coordinator extraordinaire  popped by with two of the best fish sandwiches in town and got to be the first visitor in Jeffs new studio.  Thank you all for joining in the mealtrain again. Lots of loving from the oven.  When Jeff saw Randi and Syds Lasagna he exclaimed," Did you see what they brought?"  You would think it was Christmas morning!

So where are we at in Jeffs health journey? August is the long arc.  For now,   he is getting stronger each day and managing the consistent pain with Tylenol.  He can take short drives, experience short social gatherings and work on short projects like transplanting his start up tomatoes in anticipation of summer BLT Sammies.  His spirits rise every time he goes out to his studio. Words cannot express how grateful we are for each and everyone one of you circling around Jeffs health journey.

Lastly, I am sure you remember the Wheelers rolling in deep helping with the studio. Please join us in lifting up Houston Wheeler who is currently in the hospital and my cousin Laura.

Love love love
