Dear very special Friends,

Just touching base ……..

I really just wanted to take a minute and, once again, thank you guys for your continued help, interest and support during this incredibly difficult time. I know as time goes by it gets more and more difficult to remain connected.  The longer this process continues, the more you think we/he would become adapted to it.  But, I don’t think that is the case.  Unfortunately, no matter how positive you try to remain – it is increasingly difficult.   The demoralizing situations, are the worse – and there are many.  For example, Yesterday Jeff came back from work and they were literally just throwing and tossing everyone’s belongings around – just because they can – they literally empty all your stuff on the floor and toss around your books, etc.   They even confiscated all of Jeff’s condiments that he purchased because he had a plastic spoon.

They really just keep trying to knock you down one way or another.  And, I can see it is starting to affect Jeff.  Actually, I don’t see how it couldn’t.    I know it is PRISON, but, in my opinion, at this point ---- it destroys people’s self-worth and makes normal life afterwards pretty difficult.  If that’s the point --- then it all seems pointless.  Anyway....sorry for ranting.  

 A few of you have contacted me with ideas for keeping like a letter/card chain type of thing going.  That is apparently something done in prisons and a great idea.  But, I’m still trying to figure out how it would work.  I always find a little snafu with every suggestion because of the insane rules where he is.  But, just know that I am trying to figure it out and I appreciate the ideas and hoping it will work.

Also, anyone wanting their name added to or removed from the visiting list, please let me know.

On a little bit of a positive note I do finally have a meeting in Congresswoman Susan Wild’s office next week – thanks in part to the Facebook Page and Video.  Slowly moving forward, but, at least, it IS A MOVE FORWARD – hopefully, to accomplish something out of this nightmare.
