Jeff’s Story

Site created on February 17, 2024

Diagnosis: Large Cell Neuroendocrine carcinoma- high grade - lung.

Dad had a stroke in his eye on 2/6/24.  He lost partial vision in his eye due to the stroke.  He saw a retinal specialist on 2/9/24 & was directed to the ER for further testing. His granddaughter, Bryanna, took him to Regions Hospital and after multiple tests, a 6.1 cm  mass was found in his left lung lobe. A smaller mass was found on his right lung lobe and 3 small lymph node masses  were shown as well.  His petscan is 2/20/24 and his EBUS (lung biopsy) is scheduled for 2/23/24.

Journal entry by Beth Paris💜

This last weekend JJ moved in with dad. Leeoo was very anxious with all the activity. Ace was kenneled and so was Sasha (JJ’s dog). BIG KUDOS to the grandkids (Bryanna, Kristina and her partner Jeremy)  and “younger” JJ (Josh Nagel) & his friend Jackson for moving all the things down the steep stairs! Overall the move was a success. It’s a big relief that dad is not living alone anymore!
