Journal
Good evening everyone - we’ve been a little quiet lately - as health related concerns have more or less settled out for the moment and we’re enjoying being back in Austin. Jeff’s 2nd airway stent is holding nicely which enables him to move around more easily! (The first stent lasted about a day before it was “expelled” pretty traumatically from his intense coughing).
After some issues with low platelet count, Jeff was able to reschedule the Mohs surgery to remove the cancer cells from his ear. The surgery went well today and he’s wearing a bandage until it’s healed.
He’s also finding the balance between health and recovery with his work responsibilities - and occasionally makes an appearance at the office. We recently hosted our Spring Art Event (at Britt Design Group) and had a fantastic time! (Photo below)
We’re enjoying the last few days of Ethan’s senior year as it flies by quickly. He has a great group of friends and wonderful teachers and coaches who’ve offered their unwavering support. We are so proud of his tenacity during these past several months.
He will be attending Vassar College this fall (imagine a Harry Potter inspired campus located in the Hudson Valley) in New York and will be on the men’s varsity fencing team! (Photo below)
Thank you for your friendships and support as we navigated some rough waters. We’re certainly enjoying a bit of a reprieve and hope that it continues indefinitely!
With love,
Laura
